Norinco Deluxe NDM-86 Dragunov

Here we have an extremely rare Norinco NDM-86 Deluxe package in velvet presentation case. This rifle is chambered in 7.62x54r and is the second most rare Dragunov rifle behind the original KBI import Russian rifles. The Chinese were the only country to copy the original SVD exactly and built an excellent rifle that remains in use overseas to this day. These velvet cased versions, unlike many of the later commercial imports, show clear scrubbing marks on the underside of the receiver where they were originally marked as military rifles and then had the military markings removed when they were packaged for sale to the United States. Very rare guns and the best of the NDM rifles. This one is in used condition with finish wear on the high points and behind the ejection port. This is one you can keep as an investment and not feel back to take it out at the barbecue and let friends shoot a few a rounds through it.

The website SniperCentral lists the officially adopted sniper rifles of 61 countries, and the Dragunov represents 23 of them. The next most popular rifle (SSG-69) has only been adopted by 5 nations. Coming into service in 1963 the Russian rifle has become famous. This rugged and absolutely reliable system boasts a heavy-duty milled receiver that won't stop.

The reliability of the system, combined with the semi-automatic rate of fire which allows quick follow-up shots if you miss your target the first time, and the hard-hitting 7.62 caliber round all make the Dragunov the ideal sniper rifle. A communist sniper issued a Dragunov rifle in the Afghan war stated that he felt confident hitting people out to 800 yds with one shot, and vehicles up to 1000 yds. The Tiger version of the rifle has a barrel 4 inches shorter than the original (still plenty long enough, as proven by the fact that many current military Dragunovs are issued with the shorter barrels). Other than the barrel length, and some minor differences in the sight leaf and gas piston, this rifle is the exact same thing that the military uses. As SVD rifles are no longer legal to import, this is your best chance at owning a real Dragunov, built by the Russians on quality tooling, without spending half a year's pay on the original Dragunov (just to get an extra four inches on the barrel).

The rifle comes with one ten round mag, Russian scope, cleaning kit with tools, cleaning rods, sling, bayonet and hardcase. The finish on the top cover looks to have been touched up. This rifle is ready for either the range or hanging on your wall. With no more of these EVER coming into the United States, this is a valuable investment no matter what you decide to use it for. Russian Tiger SVD in 7.62x54r

Russian Tiger Dragunov with full-length military, Izhmash barrel. Very rare. Includes all of the accessories that would be issued in the Russian military. Some parts have been expertly refinished. This is a great option for people wanting an all-Russian rifle with the full-length barrel, and a rifle that can be taken out and shot. Will not last long and we will probably never have another like it.

This is a factory built Romanian Dragunov sniper rifle, complete with original military scope(not the imported version) and all of the accessories pictured. These rifles, also known as a Romak-3, SSG-97, and PSL, are extremely accurate and reliable. The Dragunov design has been in use since the mid 60's, and is still the official design of Russia and other Com-bloc countries.

This is the Romanian version, which improved on the Russian design as far as reliability goes. This is a great weapon for several reasons. First, it uses the same type of action that an AK-47 uses, which makes it drag-through-the-mud reliable. Second, it's semi-automatic, which means if you miss with the first shot, you have an immediate chance to make up for it. Third, it uses a very powerful 7.62x54R caliber bullet, which is a monster round. The large size of the round and the long barrel of the rifle combine to allow shooting out to 1000yds.

These rifles were never meant to be pretty, they were meant to shoot things from a long ways away. Also because these are rifles from military storage, some small parts like the some small accessories may vary from rifle to rifle (cleaning kit pouch, cleaning kit contents, etc.). This rifle is a valuable investment, a great collector's piece, and a very fun gun to shoot. This 1975 dated rifle was produced by Izhmash in the Soviet Union for military use. These early production guns can be identified by the lightening cuts in the sides of the receiver. The Russians did away with the lightening cuts in the early '90's (they are not present on the KBI rifles) in order to streamline the production of different calibers. This rifle also features the early style scope with an infrared filter. The IR filter was done away with in the late 1970's or early 1980's as advancements in night vision technology made the filter obsolete. Another unique feature of these early SVD's is the attention to detail each rifle was given. These early rifles were not stamped out on an assembly line in large numbers (serial number on this one is very low, only three digits). Much hand assembly and hard work went into each rifle and the original serial numbers and date were all hand engraved, as you can see in the pictures below.

After leaving the factory the rifle was likely shipped to a unit, at the height of the Cold War, and put to use by soldiers practicing to go to war with the United States. From there it is not known what journey this rifle took but it was surely a fascinating one. It's very possible that it was used in the Soviet's Afghan war, or possibly made its way to Panama or Grenada to be captured there by US forces.

However it travelled, it travelled well as it's in excellent condition, well above what you would expect from a rifle with this much history. The finish is very strong and looks better than most guy's deer rifles or safe-stored collection pieces. The rifle probably spent most of it's time in a case or possibly was left in the arms room. It was definitely well cared for. At some point an arms room likely either replaced some parts or parts were swapped by soldier's while cleaning weapons, which is a common occurrence in the military. The numbers on the receiver, gas system, rear sight leaf, and trigger group all match with 237, the bolt is 27954, the bolt carrier is 34157, and the safety lever and top cover match with 41096. The rifle has been gauged for headspace and is exactly where it should be, not needing a field gauge at all.

The rifle came into the country sometime in the late 1980's and has been in a private collection ever since. Now someone has the chance to own a true piece of history. The rifle is displayed in a custom made case with a hinged front for easy access.

The rifle will be shipped in a Pelican 1750 pressure-sealed hard case with foam custom cut for the rifle, or the buyer can pickup in person. Private viewing of the rifle can also be arranged. This is a modern, functioning firearm and must be shipped to a license holder, where it then can be transferred to anyone (there are no special licenses or requirements to own this rifle). Rifle can ship to either a standard FFL holder or a Curio and Relic firearms license holder. U.S. buyers only.

This is one of only a handful of these rifles in the country and is truly a museum-quality item. Never more true is my phrase that this rifle is a valuable investment, a great collector's piece, and a very fun gun to shoot. This is something that can be passed on to the children but can also be taken out to the range every once in awhile where it's guaranteed to be the center of attention. This Izhmash SVD is very similar to the one above, but with more finish wear. It's a 1985 dated military rifle with old style Soviet IR scope. The numbers on the rifle are all-matching and the internals look great. Whatever soldier this rifle belonged to definitely did more carrying than shooting. Excellent example of a very rare firearm and at a less painful price.

After World War II the Russians, like many others, saw a need for more advanced weaponry. In 1963, after years of hard work, Evgeny Dragunov's semi-automatic sniper rifle, or SVD, was officially adopted, making it one of the only military rifles in the world made from the ground up as a sniper rifle. Little was known about the SVD in the free world, with only brief glimpses being caught of a very long and sinister looking weapon. We now know that the SVD rifle, chambered in the hard-hitting 7.62x54R, is one of the finest long range military rifles in the world. The website SniperCentral lists the officially adopted sniper rifles of 61 countries, and the SVD represents 23 of them. The next most popular rifle (SSG-69) has only been adopted by 5 nations. The reason for this, aside from the vast reach of Soviet influence, is the combination of ruggedness, reliability, and accuracy that very few other rifles in the world are capable of.

It wasn't until the early 1990's that a small batch of the authentic military SVD rifles came into the country, only to be banned a short time later. Only 100 of these rifles were imported. When you then consider that a handful have undoubtedly been lost to damage/fire/flood, and the majority of the rest are the in hands of collectors who likely will never feel a need or desire to sell them, this rifle is not one to pass by too quickly. This rifle came from a retiring Class 3 firearms dealer. It comes with the complete package that the Russian factory ships all SVD rifles with, including the signed inspection log for the rifle, five 10-rd magazines, a complete cleaning kit, 4x24 scope with range-finding reticle, scope/action cover, three-piece cleaning rod, sniper's pack with pockets for the extra mags, a center pouch big enough for the detached scope and cleaning kit, a pouch for the cleaning kit, bayonet, sling, and a Starlight hardcase to hold it all. The Starlight cases, if you're not familiar with them, are the top of the line for both protection and storage. They are watertight with pressure knobs, nearly indestructable, and one of the best ways to protect a firearm from rust, corrosion, and physical abuse. They are pricey, but well worth it.

The SVD has been fired, but the internals look almost new. It came in with one box shy of a crate of ammo. It's very possible the missing box of 20 rounds is all that went down the barrel. The external condition of the rifle is excellent. The wood shows some slight wear that you will see on any rifle that's been around for 15 years, and the external metal finish is excellent as well. Please let the pictures speak for themselves. This rifle would make a great investment, an even better collection piece, and of course, a top-notch sniper's rifle.

Also available with a working 1PN34 scope. 1980's era Soviet night vision, equivalent to modern day Gen II night vision devices, and a great match to the PSL or SVD rifles. These scopes are new condition surplus with very few or no hours on them. They have been tested for function and come with a standard AA battery adapter already installed. Included are all of the original accessories that a soldier would have been issued as well as the heavy duty transit container. Original batteries are included but I have no idea how to make them work, and the ones I've looked at were pretty corroded (Russian batteries only, not the scopes). These scopes have an effective range of a couple of hundred yards at night, and are a perfect complement to the PSL rifle. Picture is a stock photo but is of the same scope and accessories you will receive. Price is for the complete rifle package as well as the complete night vision setup. This and a package of AA batteries from Walmart is all you need to get you out chasing animals at night or protecting yourself.

This is the same rifle as described above but in the more accurate and more available 7.62x51 (.308 Win or 7.62 NATO). This is truly the best of both worlds as you get the more accurate western round as well as the reliability of the AK action. These were imported in extremely limited numbers. I've seen four of these for sale in the past seven years, and this is one of them. A rumor I heard said that the Romanian military was switching over to this caliber to keep compatibility with NATO weapons and ammo. If the Romanian military was turning all of these out for their own forces and not exporting them, that would explain why so few made it into the country, however this is only speculation. Regardless, this is a great weapon and extremely rare. This rifle is unfired and is the only one I've seen in that condition (SEE UPDATE BELOW). This is the perfect hole-filler for your combloc collection. The rifle comes with all accessories pictured: upgraded illuminated scope, manual, cleaning accessories, cleaning rods, sling, sniper's pack, and rifle case. Let me know if you have any other questions. UPDATE: This rifle was sold in unfired condition a couple of years back. The owner, after putting roughly 500 rounds through it, trouble free, reluctantly decided to part with it and contacted us. The Chinese are the only ones who made a direct clone of the Russian Dragunovs and were helped by the Russians during production. Some Chinese rifles have even been found to be re-stamped Russian rifles. The 7.62x51 version is the most accurate of them all and was only made by the Chinese. It combines the durability of the Russian Dragunov with the accuracy of the American 7.62x51(.308) bullet. These rifles can outshoot the stock M14/M1A and AR10 rifles, and the only reason they are not in any U.S. arsenals currently is because it wasn't designed by an American. With the .308 chambering and the military furniture, this is the absolute most accurate Dragunov rifle you can buy. With no more coming into the country, these are undoubtedly good investments that you can take out and enjoy. This one is in excellent condition. Some rifles appear to have had a few rounds put through them at the factory, and some appear absolutely unfired. This one is the latter. Doesn't ever look to have had a round through it. While the age of the rifle shows a couple of weak spots on the exterior finish, they are minor and really what you would expect from any one of these rifles. The Chinese weren't known to put a great finish on these. All four magazines are unused. Not pictured but included are the manuals for both the rifle and scope. Don't let this collector quality sniper rifle get away, you might not find another.
